It Begins

The new Year is upon us and everyone is frantically establishing their resolutions and cleaning out their closets in anticipation of 2009. I, on the other hand, have just given a quick thought about a resolution, and without a closet to clean, have moved on to the literal cleaning of my garage. 2008 has taught me quite a few things about who I am, and the things I have to work on as 2009 comes and, as it usually does, goes. As for looking back on 2008, I think I'll take those lessons and move forward. As for a resolution, I am not a faithful keeper of one. Maybe its my inability to establish a reasonable resolution. Regardless, there are a few things I do want to take with me into the new year: Patience, Compassion, & Love. I hope 2009 will be better, although Obama believes it will be worse than 2008. I digress. 2008 is soon to be gone and 2009 will be here soon. I guess I'll work on being Here Now. Cheers.
